Discover your next adventure with My6 Trip Planner
The new My6 Trip Planner is an in app feature that invites users to plan their next adventure all within the My6 app. Users are given the option to either plan their own trip or to have the trip planned for them. This makes the planning process easier than ever, especially for our adventurous and spur of the moment users.
Once the user has decided to have their trip planned for them, they are then prompted with a series of simple questions. Some being how many nights are you looking to stay? How many pit stops per day are you looking to make? And, Where are you looking to pit stop? As the user answers these questions, they are updated with how many Motel 6 locations match their desired route.
Once the questions have been answered, the app then creates two route options for the user to pick from. The fastest route or the scenic route. Each route fits their needs, but they each have different pit stops determined by distance. This give the user a feeling of autonomy about their adventure decisions.
Each route includes a detailed itinerary. The itinerary feature gives the user an outline of what each stop is, its exact address and the distance of that attraction from the nearest Motel 6. At the top of this page, there is also an estimated time stamp for the entire route.
Once the user has decided on a route, they are led to their trip profile. This includes the detailed itinerary, booking page and a direct open to maps feature. The booking page is key here, because it allows the user to book multiple nights at various Motel 6 locations all at once. It also informs the user of how much they have saved from booking multiple stays at once.
